Musings on personal style by a fatshionista of a certain age

Some months ago I posted a picture of this M&Co dress. Given that it is probably the most exciting thing ever to feature in M&Co’s plus size range, I wasn’t expecting it to still be around come sale time, let alone available in my size and reduced to £18 from £45!

I’ve been wearing the bejabers out of it ever since scoring it in the Alton branch while staying with friends over the New Year. Mine’s a size 24 and it’s good quality viscose jersey. I love the cut, the fit and the three-quarter-length sleeves; and the Scandinavian vibe of the pattern. I’m wearing it with some utterly ancient Russell and Bromley suede ankle boots; orange tights from Primark (I think); a felted bangle made by my friend K; some 1930s peach glass earrings I bought from a street market for £8 aeons ago…

… and this adorbs little fish brooch, which I scored for a couple of quid in a charity shop, pinned to a re-mixed Monsoon cardi. I’ve had it for ages but never worn it until now.

More from my January sales haul when I’m not feeling quite so knackered!
